FAA requires registration again
#1
I just read in the news today that the FAA requires that we register our sUAS (small unmanned aircraft system) again.

I registered the first time around and never asked for a refund. So I should still be registered. If they make me pay another $5 because of all the rules change back and forth, I am not going to bother.

That’s a good point. I registered previously and never received my refund. I say to them just apply the five bucks you owe many of us to the current license.

I don't think the FAA registration website ever went down. Registration became non-mandatory, for a short period. But to get your $5 refund, you have to request it. Anyway, now that it is mandatory again, I am pretty sure your registration is still valid.

Just have to go micro, and not worry about registering.

Not trying to invite the wrath, but there's a 98% chance I will not be doing that. I did ponder the whole UAV thing, but decided against it.

meh... TBH I liked that I didn't have to label my equipment. It's a PITA to find a spot to put the FA# on a couple of my models. oh well :p
