6 Should I put in $20 into a new REVO F4 flight controller or should I keep my CC3D? CC3D is a bit outdated and lags too much on Betaflight, while I have never used an F4 before. Is it worth it because I have heard that there a some bugs and firmware issues.

4 I'd say go with an F4 for dynamic filtering alone.

4 Dynamic filtering is a tuning feature in the newest betaflight release (3.2 and newer). It can help get rid of some of the usual handling problems like propwash.

4 Dynamic filtering is a software feature of Betaflight firmware. The thing is it takes a powerful computer to run it. F4 is the computer chip on most of the new Flight Controller boards. It's the minimum requirement to run dynamic filtering with no lag.

31 I am going to tell you the opposite of what everyone else seems to be telling you so far.
Don't worry about it yet. Get in the air and get flying and read up on things and enjoy yourself. When you're at a point of skill level where you understand what prop-wash is and which of your flight movements are causing it... that's when you should upgrade. By then you should have enough experience to know which of the F4 flight controllers you want as well which I think is the important part. If you go from a CC3D that you got because you didn't know the difference between FCs, and upgrade to an F4 without really knowing why or what the benefits are, then how are you going to know that you got the right F4 controller or even be able to tell the difference?
Now that you have a build... fly it... have fun! you'll have time for upgrades later.
For me... I usually wait until I crash and need to rebuild something before I upgrade a component. For example... there will probably come a time where you need to take the frame apart to fix something... a broken solder joint, a burned out VTx, getting mystery dirt out from between flight stack layers... who knows... This is the time to think about upgrades.
