F4 V5PRO Video Issue
#1
Sad
Hi there,
i just finished my first build, based on a GEPRC LX5 Leopard and a F4 V5PRO Controller.
Partslist:
- F4 V5PRO Flight Controller 5.8G 40CH 0/25/200/600mW Switchable FPV Transmitter w/ 5V BEC OSD PDB
- GEPRC GEP LX Leopard LX5 220mm FPV Racing Frame 4mm Arm With PDB 5V & 12V
- 4 PCS Realacc M3*7+4.5 Flight Controller Anti-Vibration Fixed Screws for FPV Racer
- Flysky X6B 2.4G 6CH i-BUS PPM PWM Receiver for AFHDS i10 i6s i6 i6x i4x Transmitter
- 2 Pairs DALPROP 5045 T5045 V2 3 Blade PC Propeller
- EMAX RS2205S 2300KV 2600KV RaceSpec Brushless Motor With Bullet 30A BLHELI_S D-SHOT Power Combo
- Runcam Swift 2
Had first problems with ESCs, maiden turned the quad on his back...
After flashing with new version of BL_Heli, all engines were running!! :-)
But after a few minutes of FPV Flight, i got "dots" in brighter parts of the video.

Very strange, cause after a 180° turn, these vanished. And appered again... The Cam get voltage from
the F4 V5PRO Port for (FPV) Cam, GND + VCC, next to the signal port.
I changed the Swift 2 to a Runcam Eagle, with the same result! And the Swift 2 does a great job
at one of my older Quads... Then i changed the voltage port, which is normaly for LED. The Dots
remained.
Now i changed voltage input direct to the battery plug, and ...
the dots remained. So, i think the problem lies in the F4 V5PRO and its vtx!

Anybody agres?! ;-)

it looks like noise that is only affecting the camera, because the OSD text is crystal clear.
Is the camera powered by 5V? If not, do that first. I think adding a low ESR capacitor to the 5V line might also help.
