F3 evo FC not binding to FrSky Taranis
#1
Hi. I'm a beginner and can't seem to get my bnf micro fpv quad to work with the Taranis x9d+. It has the AC800 receiver which binds ok but the F3 evo FC won't arm. I can power the quad via betaflight but when i set receiver to SBUS it reverts back to Spektrum 1024 after hitting save & reboot. Any advice would be great.

could you confirm your BF version, and GUI version?
I think there has been some incompatibility between them in recently updates.
Update your FC firmware if possible also.

Do you have sBus selected in both receiver mode and serial receiver provider areas of the configuration tab? I've also had this problem when the correct UART isn't selected in the ports tab (If I remember it's UART 3 for the F3 EVO?)

Hi, Betaflight version I believe is preloaded with 3.2.0 as it's brand new. Don't know what GUI means.

The GUI is the betaflight configurator (BFC) (chrome app). With betaflight firmware 3.2 you will need the latest GUI aka BFC to properly configure.

I am not sure if older firmware will work with the newer BFC.

Hi. I copied this off my Betaflight. 2017-08-13 @ 12:32:35 -- Running - OS: Windows, Chrome: 60.0.3112.90, Configurator: 3.2.1
I managed to flash the FC as it had last yrs version on it. It all works up to where I try to arm it and it does nothing. I have configured an arm switch on the TX and it shows operating on BF, I also have the sticks interacting with BF too. Just don't understand why it won't run off the TX Sad
