ESCs: DYS 10A BLHeli
Props: RotorX RX3020 and RX2535 quad (will try both)
Rx: LemonRX DSMX Satellite
Camera: Eachine 1000TVL CCD
VTx: FX-796T 25mW
Batteries: Turnigy Bolt 3S 500mAh 65C HV (will be mounted on bottom)
Other Electronics: MicroMinimOSD, Adafruit NeoPixel Jewel, Buzzer
3D Printed Parts:  Nano 130 basher skids, camera mount, LED mount, RxVTx mount
Other: Wires, screws, spacers, etc...

Here are pictures of most of the parts, and a trial fit to make sure everything will fit... Wink

From weighing the trial fit and the other parts, I think it will come in around 180 grams AUW.  Will post progress...

Great looking build.  Very clean and well organized!  Did you ever find out any additional information on F2F?

Thanks, but there are no wires (or pins) in there yet!  It's going to be a tight build, but I think it will work.  F2F site still shows "Under Construction", but they did change the background to a nice animated watery thing - so who knows?  They may be back...

Understand there were no pins or wiring and you're right, it's gonna be tight, but the way it's laid out looks to me like it will lend itself to a well organized wiring layout as well. I assume the "container" on top was printed with a 3D printer? I had to increase the width between my top and bottom plate about 1/16" in order to get everything between them, but I had more room then you to start with. Looks really good Scotty.

Yeah, I hope they are going to be back, I want to buy some spare upper and lower plates. It's only going to be a matter of time before I destroy one or both of them.

Yep, printed (top container and basher skids printed in nylon - other parts ABS). I will probably design and print a shroud for the camera as well, to protect the lens - it's kinda sticking out there.

I gotta get me one of them (a 3D printer). I'm gonna have to move my camera a little further forward because when I tilt it back (if I ever learn to fly that way), the view gets blocked left and right by the frame and standoffs. The camera on my 250 sticks out a little and it's never been damaged and it's missed a whole lotta good chances!

Are the props you are using durable material? I have been trying to find 3" triblade durable but cannot find any...
do you think the RCX 1105-4000kV can run 4S? Smile
also what's the weight of the DYS 10A ESC?

I haven't tried these props yet, but they are very thin and pretty "bendy" (I think they are ABS).  Time will tell.  (These are common props used on the RotorX Atom.)
The motors won't handle 4S with these ESCs  Big Grin .  Seems like I saw a thrust test video where these motors were run on 4s and a comment was made about them getting hot.
The ESC weighs 4 grams with all the wires.  I haven't stripped them down yet, but I'll probably shave off a gram.

EDIT: I just looked up - the new RotorX 3040T tri-blades are made of polycarbonate "which makes them almost indestructible" (of course that's advertising hype Smile ...)

This frame looks quite similar. Maybe it is the same but sold directly from china?

Good find.  But these are (copies of?) the Gen 1 frames - not quite as durable as the Gen 2.  (I'm pretty sure the F2F designer/seller had his frames locally cut in USA.  Not sure how AliExpress got hold of them.)

All they would have to do is buy one and make a copy, right? Unless they worked some kind of marketing deal with F2F?

I dunno.  In any case, I would wait for the Gen 2 (copies?)... Big Grin

The batteries I bought to try for this build arrived today.

Turnigy Bolt (LiHV) 3S 500mAh 65-130C.

Weight: 46 grams.  By my calculations 65C would allow continuous 32.5A (with bursts to 130C - 65A).  Now I'm pretty sure my setup will never go much past 20A.  In static thrust tests I've seen, these motors (with these ESC's and 3020 props) produce about 160 grams of thrust at 4.1A on 3S (at 12.35V).  I'm a little concerned about the JST and discharge wires (20AWG), but that's what came on the batteries, so it must be OK, right? (though my research leaves me doubtful - and I am pretty certain the wires can't handle 65A!).  I think it will be fine at 16.4A, but I'd like to hear some opinions Undecided

I think I would be a little concerned as well. As best I can tell the max load on 20awg wire @ 12v is about 8A (for a short run). Would it take 16....probably and if it ever got to 20A it would likely be in very short burst. I think I would be concerned about the connecter as much as anything. Maybe switch it over to a T30? Like you, I have serious doubts about 65A for any length of time.
