External Blackbox Recommendation?
#1
Can anyone recommend a good external blackbox that is hopefully fairly lightweight?  I recall having this discussion before.

I usually use Flywoo's GOKU GN745 AIO FC on practically all of my builds.  But between some recent issues I've had with that FC, craptastic Flywoo customer service, and a more than 40% increase in price from 69.99 to 99.99, I'm starting to look at other FC's.  Very few if any have the F7 processor, onboard blackbox, and 32-bit ESCs that the GN745 offers.  So I'm willing to give up on the 32-bit ESCs and use 3rd party firmware for RPM filtering on BLHeli_S.  I'm also willing to give up on the onboard blackbox if I can find a decent external one I can use for initial tuning.

Original OpenLager

There are also the "standard" ones, but these are slower. I followed the UAVtech video and just got this one. I have no idea what the limitations of the cheaper ones are

Thank you! I remember now I had gotten one from RMRC and it was too slow.

JHEMCU released a new version recently. I've heard good things about it, but haven't used one myself.

The JHEMCU logging module seems very interesting and half the price as the AirBot.

Don't confuse OpenLager with the original old skool slow OpenLog device. They are two completely different products. OpenLager has much faster logging capabilities. Probably faster than you actually need.
