I know I am getting olde but still this issue has me growing hair on my bald head.
I loaded Raceflight for the first time from Google Apps and that worked. I took my new Spektrum SPMFCF400 controller, shorted the boot pins, plugged it in and it showed no connected. So I did it again and wow I could see an image of the board and it moved on its axis as I moved the board. The frustration is that I cannot get the board connected to be  flashed. It goes directly to the image of the board. So I need help to see if I need to flash the board at all.  I have succeffully used Ceanflight on other home made quads but this Spektrum board is supposedly designed for Raceflight. Also what drivers should I have loaded.

So the Raceflight community has a slack that could be helpful here. Go to the Raceflight website and get signed up. My experiences on the slack have been good.
