First time builder here. I think I have fried my flight controller (post in the other thread) and after this my ESC's startup tune has changed, they are not playing the final beeeeep tone.

The ESC's are Racerstar RS30A V2 30A Blheli_S.

When everything was working they were making the typical:

da nah naah beep pause beeeeep tune as per ~7:15 in this video..

Now without the flight controller disconnected they just go:

da nah naah beep

Is this normal and just because there is no flight controller pairing up?

Where can I find more info about what the tones mean?

I can't find a BL Heli official home page (only the github code repo), manual or the official forum mentioned (but not linked) in the configurator?

This is entirely normal. Unless the ESCs see a valid control signal, you won't get the last beep which means 'throttle signal detected at zero, armed".


If you have downloaded BLHeliSuite from https://blhelisuite.wordpress.com/ then you will find the manuals installed in the program folder under 'Manuals'. In the one called "BLHeli_S manual SiLabs Rev16.x.pdf" you will find the following information:

Hehe, I had of course visited that BLHeli website, but thought it looked way too dodgy to be legit. 

I had installed the Chrome extension, didn't know there was any other way, still have a lot to learn!!

Got a question for ya. So I upgraded my ESCs to the new Emax Bullet Series BLHELI S 30amp. I'm running into an issue that when I plug it into the computer and I try to run BlheliSuite, BlheliSuite is not picking up the ESCs it just says they are blank I attached picture. My Motors Jitter when I plug in the battery but they do not make the full song just the first couple chimes. They will not calibrate they will not spin, they say they arm in BetaFlight and are spinning but they won't actually do anything. I'm completely stuck, I've been researching for days and can't find anything, except for people having the same problem.Anything would help. Thanks.
