ESC working, sometimes
#1
Hello everyone, I'm in need of a little help. I noticed my quad wasn't flying well recently, there was something really off in the yaw movement. I connected it to betaflight and I checked the motors, the rear left motor did not spin. I switched to blheli config and got the error you can see attached. I disconnected the quad and I armed normally, all the motors were spinning. I'm pretty sure the yaw problem and this are related. So my question is: Is my ESC irreparably broken or is there a way or any chance to fix it?

It could be the ESC is starting to go out, cold solder joint on the motor that didn’t spin,or reflashing the firmware.
Did you check the firmware again after the motor started spinning?
I have had ESC work, then act up,work again and finally I replaced it and no more problems.

Usually when a motor starts acting up the first step is to eliminate whether it’s the motor,ESC or both.

If you exchange motor number 3 with a different number motor that is working and the problem follows the motor it’s likely the motor.
If it follows the ESC it’s likely the ESC.

I found a bad ESC by turning on the beeper switch and the motor that didn’t beep or twitch like the others had a bad but working ESC.
