esc reciever
#1
Hello

I am planning on buying the esc in this kit (kit bellow) and I had a few questions about the receiver. The receiver wires are colored orange, red, and brown. Which one is vin, ground, and signal. Also how much voltage does the vin wire require, is it 5volts or 3.3volts. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

The wires you mentioned on the ESC is brown for ground, red is 5v BEC, and yellow (sometimes Orange) should be PWM signal. You only need one red to go to the receiver to power it. If you are doing multirotor, you don't need to connect all ESCs red wire.

So depending on your receiver, you will either use 3.3v or 5v. If 5V, you are all set. If 3.3v, then you need a 3.3V to power receiver. Sometimes your FC will have it. Otherwise, you need to get it somewhere like PDB or a popolo.

Just curious what you are building and what receiver you are using . I am assuming that you are using a receiver with servo output.

I am trying to build a Arduino copter. My receiver is Arduino.
