ESC not working - motor not spinning - cannot arm
#1
Hey guys I'm having some issues with my quad.

My Littlebees would make three beeps, but not make the second set of two beeps.

I think this means they are getting power but are not connecting to the flight controller. So, I switched flight controllers but the ESC's still aren't making the second set of beeps when I boot them up.

Just started some other testing, but now the ESC's don't even make the first beep at all. There is no voltage across the three motor pads when I increase throttle in the motor testing tab.

Do you guys think all of my ESC's are shot?

by the way, I'm using a Matek pdb and I've checked that the ESC's are getting power using a voltmeter.

The ESC's aren't even working in Cleanflight motor testing

I'm not sure what is wrong exactly, but the likeliness of 4 ESCs going bad simultaneously is extremely slim. I'd rule that out for the time being.

I had an issue like this where the looptime was too low or the escs didn't like beta one or the other. Changed back to 1.11 or something stable with 1200 looptime and was good

How are you powering your flight Controller?

And do you have a digital muiltmeter? Do a short test between your - and + 1-6 and see its it beeps.

5v regulator from a power distribution board. tested with voltmeter, outputting 4.97V

Ahhhhh... I fixed it, I switched signal and ground... so embarrassing.. it's working now

But one littlebee is broken. I'm not even sad about that though. what I'm sad about is that I mixed up signal and ground even though I double checked haha

I reflashed all of the escs. Motor 2 wasn't working and it took me a few hours to find the cause: the fc port was broken. Had to move to port 6.

Have you tried testing them individually? I had a similar experience not long ago, turned out I had foolishly plugged one of my ESCs into the FC backward and it made unusual beeps and wouldn't let me do anything with it until I fixed that error. If you soldered your signal leads on manually, is it possible that one of them is shorted or inverted?
