Do you have to use the TBS Bulletproof ESCs if you are running the The COLIBRI RACE FC that comes with the PowerCube? I was considering using some standard standalone ESC (like 20A littlebee or XM20A) but not sure how I would connect it to the the COLIBRI race FC.

yes, it a proprietary pin interface in between boards.

You can go discrete if you get the SP Racing F3 FC if you want the same performance of the Colibri, but you can't use the Colibri separate from the PowerCube yet.

What's wrong with the TBS Bulletproof ESC ? They're on BlHeli 14.3.

Nothing is wrong with the colibri fc, I just have a few extra but only one PowerCube setup so wanted to look at my options for another build
