ESC Desync? or something else?
#1
Litte introducten since i'm new here, i'm Jurjen from the Netherlands, 27 years old and have been freestyle flying for about 1,5 year now. I wanted to try something different and participate in some races with a racing drone, Sooo... i've build one.

It's a foxeer setup with a ICM42688-P gyro and a reaper 65A esc.

And i have the following issue:
When i do a punch out to about 75% throttle the quad shoots up even after i put the throttle to 0 (it delays with 1-2 seconds or so). These are a picture of the blackbox logs.

I've also got a video posted on facebook with the issue: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1023243119088328

What i've tried so far:
- Disabled low pas filters (made it worse).
- Different ESC settings (made no difference).
- Checked for mechanical issues, ran the wire from the cam a different way (thought it was touching the gyro).

I hope you guys can help me, if you need more info or data please ask!

kind regards,

Jurjen

what pid settings do you have? what weight motors and batteries?

it sounds like iterm windup, lowered iterm, antigravity could be focused.
tpa gain could be increased as a try.

first of all check the stiffness of the frame, check all screws, fix loosen or parts able to shake. add an additional or bigger capacitator.

PID settings are standard as off. 2207 2100kv motors and a 1300 mAh CHNL 6s lipo.

I do have some wires from the VTX to the FC between the 2 boards. Could these be interfering with the gyro?

The frame is ok, no loose parts.
