Engine chopping
#1
Hello, could you give me some advice? I assembled the drone, everything actually works, but I have a problem with the throttle. If I try the engines through Betaflight, everything runs ok. As soon as I disconnect the Beta and connect the battery and try to add throttle, my engines start to jerk... If I try the levers on the radio in any other way (yaw, pitch, roll) calmly at full speed, everything runs perfectly fine, but a little throttle and there is a problem. .. I have a speedybee f405 V3 board, emax eco ii motors, frsky archer receiver. The same problems with proppelers on in the air. Tried mulitple pid tunnigs but none works. https://youtube.com/shorts/co8ExO1auLc?feature=share

Have BF 4.4 and Bluejay

Thanks a lot, Michal

i would try this article from Oscar Liang: https://oscarliang.com/random-twitches-during-flight/

you can try raising your PWM freq in bluejay, some people reported that fixing their issues. Others report a gyro issue, so if you have blackbox you can check the log and see whats going on.

if that doesnt solve anything, i would try to downgrade to 4.3 as 4.4 seems to have tons of issues. I dont know if 4.4 is causing your issue, but it will help take one thing off the list to try and solve your problem.

i would suggest to check all hardware related tvings first.

-retighten all screws
-check the mounting of the fc and esc, no force to the boards
-check your capacitaror, maybe add a bigger or a second one
-check the lenght of the motorscrews, check all the motor cables
-check the fit of the plugs between esc and fc
-mesure continuity between frame and electeonics
-plugout everthing not needed to fly; airunit, gps... give it a try then

Dampening the stack with gummies and raising the pwm frequency to 96khz fixed mine, the twitching during flight was gone.. Maybe this speedybee f405 v3 is just too sensitive to vibrations.

Im using:
AxisFlying BlueCat35
Speedybee f405 v3
Axis Flying 2004 Motors 2910kv
6s Batts
