Emax tinyhawk not connecting to RTF transmitter
#1
Hi,
Newbie here, son has an emax tinyhawk RTF kit with E6 transmitter. worked brilliantly until last week or two, possibly with some crashes, he's a little vague.
now on powering up the drone and the controller and keeping several feet apart like the vids posted on prev posts suggest, the drone fails to get a solid blue light.
tried re-binding the drone and transmitter, but cannot get the light to go solid to suggest sucess.
Have connected to Betaflight and have Arming disable flags MSP and RX_FAILSAFE
other than that, the drone is talking to betaflight fine, orientation moves etc when I move the drone.
on receiver tab, when I move the transmitter sticks, nothing moves.

Unfortunately I haven't connected it to betaflight before the problem, so have no idea what to do next, or what is different - does anyone have any suggestions please?
Thanks!

I’m betting the spi D-8 rx failed.. not all is lost. For about $10 you can install a external rx on that fc… and actually get better range..
Plug it into bataflight to confirm..

Thanks Rob,
How do I confirm in betaflight?
Are you able to post a link to the external Rx you mention?
Thanks

Posting pics on this forum format is kinda pain.. do a search for “Emax d8 receiver”.. I think fpvcycle is where I got some also..
To confirm.. plug the quad into betaflight.. make sure the quad responds correctly.. then go to the reviver tab, see if u can manipulate, make the bars / quad move on the screen
I just checked their site..(Emax) there is two prices $19.99 and $9.99

Thanks Rob,
When in betaflight - quad talks to betaflight fine, the receiver tab nothing moves (but also the quad and transmitter won't pair (perhaps because the Rx is dead), have tried to re-bind (they were bound before), and won't connect.
I'll look at the emax site, thanks.
