Hey guys

This is not my first quadcopter build but it is my first "mini quad build".

  • Emax MT 2204 2300kv Motors
  • Emax 12a Speed Controllers Simonk  (These were supposed to be blheli but got sent the wrong ones)
  • CC3D (Taken from ZMR450 as the one for this got fried :'( )
  • Turnigy Nano-Tech 1300mah 45C 3S
  • Thug Frames 5045 Props
  • Thug Frames PDB
To Get
  • Fat Shark 5.8 Ghz Receiver
  • HS1177 600TVL Camera
  • Video Transmitter (not sure which yet)
  • More Batteries wouldn't hurt
  • Little Bee ESCs

Yeah it is pretty small but its all i had at the time. Stripped some house electrics cable i had laying around.

It does the job and as long as i don't go up to 4s i think i should be alright (hopefully)

According to Oscar:

13AWG Wire - 100A
14AWG Wire - 80A
16AWG Wire - 50A
18AWG Wire - 30A
20AWG Wire - 20A
22AWG Wire - 10A

So 16AWG on 3S is ok i guess.
My quad:
RD-210 / ZMX V3 2206 2140kv / Aikon SEFM 30A / X-Racer F303 V3 / X4R-SB / Dronelab 1500 4S 50C

That's continuous current for absolute safety (not getting warm or anything)... but for wires they normally can stand higher current...

For example i actually use 16AWG for lipo connection on my 4S mini quad that draws up to 100A at 100% throttle... it's absolutely fine.

Just though i would give you guys a quick update...

Had a hard crash which has decided to bend one of the motors on the quad Sad

Fortunately it can still fly but will have to order another motor ASAP.

Video of motor linked below couldn't find a way to embed instagram videos.

Update: I have ordered a Fat Shark 5.8 Ghz Receiver from RadioC which should be arriving today.

Can you take that motor apart and take a look of what actually is bended? Would be interesting... Of course do this after the new motor has arrived.
