EMAX Interceptor FPV RC Car
#1
Not many details on this at the moment but JB mentioned it on his livestream tonight, possibly by accident because he wasn't sure if he'd broken an embargo for actually showing it in public...but too late now Big Grin

You can see it at 1:56:52 into his livestream from tonight HERE.

Pretty much no info online that I can find except a couple of videos on some Facebook channel I've never heard of before...

In our never ending pursuit to create new experiences for thrill seekers to enjoy, EMAX has ventured into revolutionizing an old field with an all-new twist. With the Interceptor, we aim to introduce the first-person-view experience to enthusiasts with an intuitive platform.

By having a first person view camera embedded into the body, using FPV Virtual Reality Goggles gives drivers complete immersion into the out of body experience of their surroundings. By utilizing a 1/24th scale frame, the Interceptor gives drivers a smaller than life viewpoint, giving a greater sense of scale and speed, increasing spatial awareness and offering a unique point of view.

Featuring tires that are 20% larger than other vehicles in its class, paired with a rear friction coil shock system, a smooth experience is achieved in order to make driving in this small of a scale comparable to its larger counterparts. With the usage of racket pinion steering and an independent steering servo, control at scaled up speeds are achievable providing the driver with the necessary tools required to navigate a variety of environments.

The EMAX Interceptor offers a unique introduction into the world of FPV while also providing an all new form-factor for experienced enthusiasts alike.

Looks like EMAX have now lifted the embargo and given all the reviewers permission to publish their reviews of the Interceptor, along with publishing their own marketing videos Smile

Oh lol I didn't even notice this subforum when I posted about my rc car project. This is really fun! Of course not as fun as drones - you are on a 2D plane vs 3D space basically. But still oddly fun in a chill way. Chill in a sense that you are going much slower than you would fly but also people are never offended or scared of it. If anything they'll wave at it lol. Also chill in that 45 min of runtime is a big change of pace from 3 min.
