Hi all, 

I was wondering if anyone here has ever run the eCalc numbers for Konasty 2407 2200KV motors on a heavy quad (Rooster) with 6" props of either 6x3.5 or 6x4 pitch ...at 6S?

Supposedly the motors can take the voltage, but all I've got right now is a 46A 4-in-one ESC that I'd like to keep from becoming a fire hazard...

I'm thinking this might could be a beast on 6S but still fun at 4S too.

Thoughts?

2200KV x 22volts = 48,400 RPM (yikes!?)

...is it silly to think I should even try this combo at all? My ESC specs say they can take 55A short bursts.

Aside from eCalc, I'm wondering if anyone might share a quick and dirty calculation/equation one might use to estimate amp draw for any particular [motor + battery + prop + airframe weight] combo?

I think I'll go with some safer motors for my 6" Rooster build, but still curious how to approximate amp draw and ESC suitability in general.
