Eachine RatingKing, FPV buggy you'll love
#1

Eachine RatingKingA FPV car like no other ...
Hello friends.
We were pleased to receive for testing a sample of the new RC car Eachine distributed by Banggood
In the form of a 4 × 4 buggy quite fast 1:14 format, especially a nice feature; that of being already fully equipped for FPV.
I propose a small review as we are used to here in the lab!

unboxing
A huge box reached me with a bit behind the schedule ... Customs thank you!

In the package "garbage bag" black, there is a sub layer of padding that wraps our product as expected.

A split second later, too eager to discover the Eachine RatingKing, the packaging is torn.
The packaging is faithful to Eachine .. we already see things that make eyes shine .. a superb buggy with a remote control and an advertised speed to 35 km / h. I made some photos of the box from all angles, feel free to click on the images to enlarge (reminder: all images in this review, as other reviews, are clickable to enlarge)

This beautiful box is opened and ... hoooo !!!! the car is suitably clamped and protected by an appropriate folding of the carton.

Seeing it was a desire .. the pick up, turn it on and try ... Patience ... Under the car you will find the user manual (blah .. read!) Layer is removed in which was stuck the car to find two additional cardboard boxes. One cardboard box contains the remote control. A little zoom on the typical remote control RC cars.

In the other cardboard box include self-adhesive to personalize his RatingKing a red tube to prevent the antenna of the video transmitter train to ground, a zip bag with the battery charger, another bag with zip a recording camera ??? but yes ! in addition to the FPV camera already embarked on the car, you get an HD camera to record his runs! GREAT !

Overview
The unboxing is good but let's see the result of a closer.
I slipped the red tube on the antenna of the video transmitter, it fits perfectly and easily.
The original connection is provided battery type T dean; personally all my lipos are XT60, so I changed the connector on the car and on the lipo in order to standardize the use. View of a hand, I voluntarily left the plastic protective film on the body .. a tad manic it will avoid the first claws: p View from the other side of the car. There are to the center the red connectors for connecting the video transmitter. The car for the ass-ass. Rear bumper and an LED at the rear of the video transmitter.

This high brightness LED is RGB (red-green-blue or multicolored), you can change its color, to distinguish yourself when riding more or just to have the color that fits you well, by changing the micro position switches present on the left of the lED. Top view of the car. This is beautiful! Bottom view of the car, fully protected by a super strong plastic shell. View FPV camera present in the cockpit. This is a camera Eachine 1000TVL. This camera is not unknown to me because I often use in my flying wings in view of its low price, its small footprint and its render clear and detailed image. Front view of the camera (with protective cover).

As you can see, a LiPo battery is already installed in the vehicle.
It is a 2S 1500mAh battery .. it looks pretty good stuff [Image: 1f642.svg]

plunging view into the cabin from the rear of the car.

In detail
In the belly of the animal is found.
A esc brushed motor, a brushed motor, switch ON / OFF (not used much), a PWM receiver and the steering servo.

As you can see, I have to change the ESC connector to use a XT60 connectors.

The antenna which projects vertically above the car is the antenna of the remote control receiver.
Originally this antenna is placed in the center, along the plastic reinforcement.
Think disengage from it and placed vertically, take the exit through one side of carrosserire, your scope will be greatly improved !!!

Bonding the battery, keeps a tray and two Velcro straps have been placed.
You need to know the size of batteries that can get into it?
It is + - 90 x 35 x 15mm (it is a 2S 1500mAh 30C)
The tray that Home LiPo is about 104 long and is deliberately more for cable LiPo remain inside.

ESC for brushed motor and aluminum fins.
We will have that to dissipate the heat generated by the intensive use of the engine and amps that will pass through.
It also distinguishes the ON / OFF switch. Personally I think it is useless for connecting / disconnecting the battery will just as quickly that going to activate the switch.

View brushed motor.
Please note that all the connections on the cables are protected by a clear plastic sheath that block the dust, light splash or simply avoid causing short circuits. Warning ! As you can see on the sticker, the brushed motor becomes very hot very hot during use. Avoid touching directly the risk of severe burns! Close up view of the remote control receiver 3 Eachine PWM channels. Only two channels are used: one is connected to the esc which will drive the motor, the other is connected to the servo motor that will drive the direction of the vehicle. Everything is already binded original .. there is nothing to do

Zoom in on the servo motor and steering axes in aluminum.
Everything is properly installed.
But think back a bit of a screwdriver over the car for safety. Close up view of the spring suspension of the wheels, the bar maintains and propulsion shafts. Each wheel is independent. It is a true 4 × 4! The wheel and drawings closer view. The grip is good on the road, a little light in the gravel or soil. View of the front of the car leaving unveil bumper plastic. Note that many parts are metal but are often set into the plastic holders.

Although this plastic is solid and quality, do not abuse the bug too much because it could crack / break.
Personally I'm not bad abused my RatingKing and still have not broken anything!

Little additional information the brushed motor pinion is metal, the rest is plastic / Nylon / I'm not sure.

There are 4 clips keeps removing (2 front, 2 rear) and you can remove the body of your car. As the camera and the video transmitter are fixed to the body, Eachine had the great idea to place a JST to connect / disconnect quickly combo when one wishes to remove the body. Bottom view of the camera. Nothing special. Son 3 are connected through a connector. Yellow (video signal), red (positive supply), black (GND) Some other views of what's under the hood

The video transmitter is placed on the back of the canopy, secured below by means of two screws.
On top of that we can see a small red button. It is used to configure the video transmitter through the OSD, change video / frequency band channel.

As announced earlier, on the back of the video transmission box, is a multicolored LED high brightness. the switches microphones present next can change its color by mixing the Red / Green / Blue.

some additional views of the car:

The radio
The radio is supplied with RatingKing.
It is all plastic and it must be admitted, even if it does its job, it is terribly cheap!

All the standard settings include an RC car remote control.
Trims and adjustments are made via potentiometers toddlers.
A switch is also present to perform the inversion of the tracks.
It will not be too pull the trigger gas because it is a little light. (note that pull the trigger advances the vehicle and push the trigger the set back)
to the direction, it will turn the rim which is the most beautiful effect (hum hum) Below the remote control include housing for the batteries / batteries. 4 rechargeable NiMH 2400mAh are already placed in the remote control (they've thought of everything!) Other views of the remote control.

options provided
In one zip bags provided (found in one of the boxes present in the bottom of the case) there are a few accessories.
A 1S LiPo battery (3.7V) of 250mAh which used to supply the HD camera recording that is in another zip bag, two coleçons to attach things like your story girlfriend to spice up the game and quickly get you rolling fpv with your car, the 3M adhesive to attach the HD camera on the car and a 2S LiPo charger to charge your USB 1500mAh battery (equipped in the car) - Customize the charger I did not use because I prefer widely use a real quality LiPo charger for it to go especially faster reloading and not 3 days charge USB.

View 2S USB charger to charge the battery of the car.

The red tube which is placed on the antenna of the video transmitter located at the rear of the car.

A great sticker to especially do not forget to place the goal of the red plastic tube.
It will make you a small flag the most beautiful effect.

A sheet of various stickers to customize your vehicle and it looks like no one else.

Some spare, it is a clip which locks the body to the body of the car.

In another zip antistatic bag, there is a small HD camera to record our runs and a small extension cable to connect the camera to the 1S LiPo 250mAh unpacked here above.

The camera view from all angles.
On the side was a button to start / stop recording.
Behind the slot for a micro SD card and a connector for plugging in the battery.
I will detail later the camera operation because at the moment I have not yet tested.

The camera is really small, we can even use it everywhere.

Fear of weight it could add? the car does not feel the same!
As against our mini drones flying wings it might be nice to use ... is an idea of what it will add weight.

Autonomy
Everything will depend on your use and the nature of the terrain.
In standard use (not all the time in background), on flat type road ground, it takes between 15 and 20min. Plenty to fill you up!
Calibration Sqn
To come up …

DVR in my garden

HD keychain in the grass

HD keychain in the woods

Conclusion
In a simple reaction: "We love it, we love it, we do not spend more! "
There, all is said !
Solid, it will collect your wildest rides.
FPV fully equipped: the picture is crystal clear, the OSD practice, the signal received stable and available over a wide distance.
Quick: displayed at 35km / h, it does not surprise you.
4 × 4 it goes everywhere.
Battery life: with its impressive Lipo 2S 1500mAh
Ready to ride: it is removed from the box, it charges the batteries and go for some crazy runs[Image: 1f642.svg]
