Eachine PRO DVR
#1
  MAJOR YAY!!!
Hey guys, I have received my Eachine goggles 2!! Thanks to BangGood, Sandra and Oscar, I will complete a full review this weekend...

I have installed the Eachine PRO DVR with the switch, as per instructions from Drone Of Prey, thanks again buddy! I only had a 3 way switch and being impatient, just bridged the 2 center poles, so 2 positions are OSD on and 'up' is OSD off, I can still swap it for a 2-way though...

I have updated the firmware and read through the posts at RCGroups, but I am having continued problems with a 'fuzzy, rolling screen' with the switch in OSD 'on' position, thankfully switching OSD off still results in perfect picture!

Just wondering if anyone might have any suggestions, my buddy said that rolling screen usually comes from grounding problems but I ran out of time to pick his brain yesterday.

The switch housing is metal so I was wondering if I should run a wire from it to ground, but as I said the picture is fine with OSD off going through the same switch..?
Huh

Yeah I'm not sure about what to do for a rolling screen. Would definitely make it hard to watch a recording through the goggles though.
Hopefully someone with more electronics skills than myself can help.

You sure are having a run of Poop luck though aren't you. :/

Mr Hankey sure is jumping about in my toolbox at the moment! For some reason the camera view inverted itself so pulling the camera off its artfully created hot glue 'mount,' and of course pull the ground wire off the VTX. Pulling the glue off so I can re-solder, leads to pulling all the wires off the VTX and the video wire from the camera, pulling the glue from that pulls all the wires and the mic from the camera..! My soldering iron is too mangled to do the job, so gotta go back and use my mate's, maybe we can sort the DVR issue at the same time!

Hopefully my kingkong tiny 7 will arrive (at least in the country c'mon!) soon and all my woes will be forgotten...

For now though back to an E010 board with 8x15mm motors and only 1 battery that gives me more that 2 mins flight time!

So I realised that I was being a knobhead and that the video out was causing the problems, and maybe the video 'in' to the DVR was still ok... So I recorded to check and... YAY, the recordings are clear, so I just can't read the OSD to change DVR settings but it does still 'work!'

Hey, as long as it records right Wink

Out of curiosity, what version does your ProDVR board say? Mine is a v1.4 which I didn't have to update any firmware, or haven't anyway.

Sorry for the delay, I just checked and it is also v1.4. I noticed that it did 'look like' I had the black screen error before updating FW as after the update I could actually see 'picture' in the fuzzyness, could jjust have been lighting conditions though, I hadn't tried recording before the update so I couldn't say for sure.
Now the Poop has returned, and all my 8mm and 7mm motors are stuffed, so I don't have anything with the thrust to even lift my FPV setup, it has no noise filter so need its own battery Dodgy ....

Maybe I'll order some of those micro L/C filters from MyRCMart, they have the 0720 spare motors for the Kingkong tiny7 for $3.00 a pair too...
