i like the MPU 6050  better than the 6500 on the brushed Evo F3... so far that's the only thing

Any ideas as to why they include the capacitor?

I might spring for this over the other Micro 32bits F3 Brushed Board as it looks like maybe a pololu will be unnecessary for a FPV setup that has poor noise filtering.

I'll kick myself, though, when your 2s tests yield gold

not sure 100% but my guess is that the capacitor is for ESC noise filtering in cause you tap the power for FPV setup

Anyone by chance get this? I got one and, while very new at PID tuning, am having NO luck. Nothing seems to get this to be able to fly in a remotely predictable manner.

I'm using a basic 120mm X frame and this board so if anyone has enjoyed success I'd love to see some PID values...

I tired default pids and a bazillion options meaning different PID values in Cleanfllight and beta flight - in addition to cloning someone else's pids on a 120 setup and this board still jerks around, twitches, has low power and just generally... Ain't great.

how is the board sitting on the frame? use foam type of double side type if possible?

Lol - yeah. The Motors are 8.5's. Props are 75mm. I was just curious about them. They don't get reviewed all that well. I think they were originally for the "Super X" brushless quad. They're so quiet though.

They're CHUNKY:
1 prop is ~.82g and a set comes in at ~3.32g

I was just goofing with them on this quad.  The flight results are awful regardless of the props. Mostly I've been using the ladybird 55mm for this.

Is this something that should be concerning (genuine question - showing this board i'm having troubles with compared to a naze):

have you tried flashing the latest betaflight firmware?
i would probably stick with ladybird, the props in your picture seem too big and heavy simply might affect change of RPM and stability.

the sluggish 3D model in configurator is a bug i believe, i get it sometimes, but normally when I disconnect and connect again it would work fine.

Another thing you can try is changing looptime to 2000.

I'll try changing the looptime to 2000. I did try the latest betaflight :/ no joy - similar issues.

Yeah - those props are ridiculous. I was just so frustrated with the performance of the quad that I thought I'd at least see what those props were like for some much needed giggles.

With those propes, it actually seemed more predictable. But that's probably because they're too heavy and the quad can't really handle them so the changes are just slow rather than twitchy. The quad might be TRYING to be twitchy, but with that weight it can't. Probably not sustainable.

Womp - the loop time was already at 2000 :/


hrm. quiet a conundrum.

Wellllllll this beats the SciSky I got recently from them that requires the finger pinch strength of Zeus himself AND actually placing the quad in my mouth to get the torque right so the usb port is enabled and have a free hand to make changes in the cleanflight.  Even that tactic has a 30% success rate.

In all fairness to Banggood - electronics being DOA is inevitable - and they're doing their best to correct any issues I've run into thus far.

Not necessarily throwing in the towel yet on this beast - but we shall see.

could you take a video how twitchy it is?
