Eachine E10 on 2s LiPo
#1
Hi!
As I promised I tested the Gheto whoop on 2s Lipo, no mods, everything in stock.
Main reason why to do so, is that I ordered too heavy fpv (2 times, one set for me, second for my sister). I hav also ordered set of 380 mAh 35C 1S LiPos, 5 pieces.

1S lipo mentioned

I have made 2 2cells out of them. I have tested the Dualsky 260 mAh 35C 2s as well, but the C rating was too low and the battery comes hot and the quad looses power after cca 20 second. With the 2 cells I have made is te flight time about the same, My theory is because the motors also gets very hot and demagnetuzation is ruining the power.

2s made from 1s
NOTE: I used the same label, it is not 3,7V

My fleet

Today testing showed very interesting result, the temperature of motor is enough to melt the plastic of the frame

CONCLUSION:
I do not recommend using 2s lipo, I am sad, because I wanted to take it to my vacation at the friday, but I will have to wait for lighter camera Sad
Dont do the same mistake. The camera is eachine EF1

Any recommendations for light enough camera?

Cheers from Czech!

got any video? interesting project lol Smile
there are now some 8.5mm motors that supposed to run on 2S

for your heavy FPV setup, you can use them on a RC car lol: http://intofpv.com/t-multirotor-scrap-rc-car

I wonder if it's possible to run them on 2S using smaller props, f.e. hubsan ones :?

I'll try to mke video, the 8,5mm motors wont fit into the frame, I will try to use the heavy setup o the plane.
Do you use the FX FX798T?
Thanks

It is not posible, because the hubsan ones are bigger than the eachine ones.

Do you use the [color=#333333][size=medium][font=Arial]FX FX798T?

yes, they are the same as FX797:

Just a word of caution - My E010 will only lift the FX FX798T (not in a case) for a few seconds before it does not have the power to fly
Maybe I got weak motors in my E010 or an extra heavy FX FX798T ?

Either way mine is not capable of FPV as stock Sad

Still waiting to find a good inexpensive working solution to the problem

I am hearing more people who are finding the same
(maybe second wave of E010's are weak?)

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Angry Angry Angry Angry does not want this to be true.

I glued the Eachine EF-01 Camera to an Eachine H8 (flashed with acro firmware): twas impressive. Flew pretty well. But that camera is SO much bulkier than the FX798t.  Bigger in every dimension.   Really hoping that this is just a clone of the FX798t. I put one of them on my H8 Acro and can't believe how much fun it is ... besides the TERRIBLE transmitter I have just as much fun with that as I do with my 8mm SciSky build (which is too heavy - will fix)

The H8 seems to be pretty capable though - without the FPV you can tack on 750mah batteries just fine (although - i was just doing that the bring the batteries down to 3.8 ... you'd probably overheat the motors if you flew the whole battery)

Have you tried mounting the FPV rig on the hubsan in the middle? I doubt it can handle the imbalance.

Also, if you plan on keeping the FPV cameras you can replace those giant clovers with whip antenna to save a gram or two (Oscar detailed this in his review of the EF-01) ....

I am using 700 mAh battery on it, that is fixing the balance.

Fixed my extremely low FPV flight times - and it was a several stage affair to get it to the point its worth charging batts for

(bear in mind I already changed motors to the Chaoli's and got possibly a minute of quality flight time before it went soggy - on the std motors it was more like 30 seconds before everything had to be done at full throttle or it would sink and eventually just scuttle across the floor and struggle to release itself from gravity)

1 - new batts - the one mine shipped with is obviously not as good as the pack of 5 that comes with the kawasaki green charger on Banggood - buying these alone seemed to add a good 30 seconds to a minute to the FPV usable flight times
They are std Eachine 3.7 150 Mah 30C cells and as far as I can tell the same as the single one it came with...but work a lot better??

2 - snipped blades to make them dual blade rather than quad (Oscar has already posted his findings and I concur!)

BUT the one change that has made ALL the difference to mine is to snip off the 2 braces that attach each hoop
Extreme and a one way mod without buying a new frame - but has completely transformed the quad for the better

Quad now has a LOAD more punch - and is still capable of hitting the ceiling whilst LVC is flashing
No more having to use full throttle to stay level - I am getting pretty much 3min 30 perfectly usable FPV flight time before it starts feeling a bit soggy...and it will still hit the ceiling at full throttle

I'm not convinced it's just about the weight saving - but more about hindered airflow with the braces still in place
OK it may be a little less crash resistant, but it has survived a few big tumbles tonight without incident

I NOW get it what its all about and am loving the E010 as an indoor FPV ship Wink

do you mean snipping 2 of the 3 struts? that is really extreme Smile lol

Yep...and I hesitated before doing it and only did it after checking Bang Good has frames in stock ...LOL
It will make yours an absolute gravity defying rocket !!
Watch out for your ceiling after doing this...
(I'm so glad I got your camera mount with the antenna crash bar - I need this now!!)

Not sure how to post images...

Cool
Nice frame mods, did you change the motors too?

Yes, it can fly for short period of time, because the motors gets so hot they melt the frame
