what is the difference between DYS BLHeli XM20A V2 ESC and DYS BLHeli SN20A ESC?
DYS XM20A and SN20A |
09-Mar-2016, 02:35 AM The XM20A uses an f39 MCU if I am not mistaken while the SN20A is using ATMEL chip. 2 different generations of ESC. Also the XM series uses a BLHeli bootloader and firmware, the SN Series has a SimonK bootloader and firmware. 09-Mar-2016, 02:36 AM The XM20A is a VERY solid ESC in terms of performance. One of the best performers for high KV motors. Performance in terms of RPM output is basically identical to the UBAD 30A and the LittleBee 30A. The XM20A has a very fast MCU on board, and the design has significant improvements over the SN20A that should prevent many of the problems users have had with that particular ESC. Hopefully DYS QC holds. Right now the XM20A is pretty much the only option for high KV (>2500kv) motors on small builds if you want to run fast ESC refresh rates (>1khz). The slower MCUs have problems with the fast updates. |
