Feedback regarding DYS 6x4.5 bullnose props from my matę Luke:
Balance is good, profile very similar to the HQ version but made from a different material. Marginally less rigid (not much in it) and seems very slightly lighter than HQ.
Flight performance was good, it seems balanced, possibly aided by the light weight. I did not have any issues with deflection. It's an inefficient prop and makes a huge noise. Very fast in a straight line, as with most bullnose 2 blade props, it takes longer to accelerate but there's less drag so it stays fast for longer after you could off the power. Less grip in corners than triblades. Feels big and floaty, not very precise.
I think the one last night probably underwent some stress, before snapping a blade at the hub. I'm amazed the craft was able to keep flying - the light weight of these props probably made this possible.
Is it better than HQ? Well, the price is probably better and they are powerful and well balanced. I prefer the gemfan 6040bn for a 2 blade prop, more efficient and better throttle control/precision. But these DYS ones are by no means bad.
