Hello anyone have flown this esc:
DYS F18A 18amp?

Pros ? Cons?
It will be mounted on a 3s 90mm micro quad
Thanks

18A ESC on a 90mm quad seems like overkill to me! But it's not like the lower Amp 20x20 boards seem to save much noticeable weight...

Agreed on it being overkill - been keeping an eye on this one as it's BLHeli_32:

Thanks. Interesting product running blheli32. But
It lacks current sensor and no BEC .I need a bec because i am planning to use the matek f405 mini fc that run on 5 v only. Anyone can suggest me a 4in1 esc with a reliable 5v output with 1 or 1,5 amp minimum?

Really interesting it has esc telemetry! !! But not much infos about the scheme of the wiring... wich wire is for telemetry? 6 wires:4 signals ,1 for ground an 1 for tele?

That's why I'm keeping an eye on it - need someone to get it and work it out! Smile

Order done! !

There would appear to be current sensors on this ESC. (The four components with the white square on them look like shunt resistors to me.) They also list 'current protection' in the features.

There may be telemetry. It's possible that they connect all the telemetry outputs together on the board though, in which case, the six wires are enough - four control signals, one combined telemetry signal plus signal ground.

Let us know what you find out when yours arrives lorentz!

Thanks .Since there is no Bec six wires seems enough for telemetry. I think it will be a headache to wire it to fc because it seems they sell it without any manual/wiring scheme

My guess is that the function of each wire in the six wire plug is printed on the side of the PCB that they don't show in the pictures.

Even if it isn't, once you get the board, it should be fairly easy to see where each of the wires go to.

http://www.dys.hk/product/632.html for connector pin out.

Just bought one, havent used it yet. Planning to use with Matek F405 mini like you.

Are you planning to use the flat cable or will you make a rats nest by soldering directly motor signals etc?

Have not seen pinout for flat cable but should be possible to figure out.

Are there lighter 4 in one esc with BEC?

It's this ESC that we were interested in the pinouts for:

For the FVT-12Ax4, if it is anything like any of the other micro/mini ESC boards, likely something like this:

RED - BAT+
BLK - BAT-
WHI - S1
YEL - S2
BLU - S3
BRN - S4

Easiest way to figure it out is with a multimeter once powering with a lipo.  Only 6 wires and 4 of them have to be signal.  Without a BEC though, it is putting straight voltage through the RED/BLK, so an FC with integrated BEC would be best with it?  Logic is not my best feature so if anyone follows my outline and lights something on fire...I did not do it!  Tongue

OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun!  Addicted :)

I choose the f411 instead f405 because the available bec and a more reliable and less noise sensitive imu
