I have a few neighbors with DJI style drones that fly occasionally.  I can see them when the lights are low in the sky.  I am the only pilot who is flying freestyle in my yard and two neighbors have given me permission to overfly their property.  They enjoy watching the craft.

Sooo, your verdict on Butterflight?

That quad has sat long enough that it is hard to tell too much difference, but it feels smoother I think. Hard to quantify, like the stock rates are a little lower for my tastes, but the untuned PIDs feel more "locked in" then Beta does priir to tuning.

I believe you are stuck in the same rain that I am right now...cannot wait for it to clear as I am excited to tune my rates a bit. Alas, we need this rain, so I cannot be too upset with the universe attempting to ruin my well developed plans!

Yeah, I was driving home around 4pm wanting to fly and it was just spitting a little, charged a couple packs anyways and snuck out to the large field behind L.R. Green.  Didn't feel a drop!

It is off Elfin Forest to the south of the new housing being built on the Escondido side.

Fun stuff. That is a nice wide open park too

I flew with another pilot a few months ago that I happened upon there one day.  It is a pretty fun spot that is wide open.  As I start to gain my confidence, I find I really like flying around trees! 

I was there for about an hour and a half.  When I arrived, there were a couple of people there with dogs. One stopped to ask a few question and watch The Japalura fly through a pack.  Almost at the end of my session, a gentleman riding a mule (yes, the fur covered 4 leg model) stopped and chatted with me for a few minutes.  It was really cool and I waited to fly my last two packs till after they were away from the sound.

Wow, quite the day. You got some flying in and got to meet some peeps....sounds like fun all around..
