Drone goes into FULL Throttle right after disarm
#1
This happend yesterday when I was to land (after doing all sorts of manuevers: rools, flips, power loops, split S, etc):

I came slowly to land, hit disarm (as always) at about 30cm from the ground, right after that (never touched ground) the drone went into FULL power (disarmed !!!), I lost ALL command with the drone, had to quickly turn off the radio to let failsafe (1sec) bring it to ground (100mt away after a perfect loop)

I had my goggles on but this is what by buddy descrived to me (he was on standby to fly and watching me land)

Setup:
BF3.2, Turnigy 9XR with ER9x, Frsky XJT Tx, Frsky XM+ Rx

So, what happended ????

This is the second time this happens to me, the other was last year with another drone, the only thing they share in common is the Tx (Turnigy 9XR)

comments ... !?

Oh my, thats scary! Im not real sure what would cause this but personally I would go through every single bit of failsafe on both betaflight and your Rx/Tx. Some receivers failsafe has to be setup similar to a binding process. (forgive the vague explanation as I remember reading that a while back about a Rx I dont remember)

Yes, it scared the hell of me.

Well the only explanation I could find for it (after doing a lot of bench testing) was that the RX might not had the correct failsafe set.

I'm using a Frsky XM+, I guess that propably I reset the RX failsafe (when I binded) to a position not full down.
I did noticed (on bench) that for some reason the RSSI would drop to non existent (and RX failsafe kicks in) (led goes Red).
(This happened only in some radio TX positions, when very close to the RX)

When I was to land, the drone was really close to me (about a meter to my right side), so, I guess that RX failsafe kicked in, and set throttle to a non zero value (>1200) and some back pitch (that's the only explanation for the power loop).

I've now set the RX failsafe to go all null, I now hope this does'nt happen again.

Always do a failsafe check before flying too. While on the bench with props off and plugged into BF. Arm the quad then power off the TX and make sure all channels behave properly (zero input) on the receivers tab.

I have also had the XM+ do the same thing while very, very close (less than 0.5 meters) to my Q X7 usually when the RX antennas are damaged or not aligned properly.
