Drone for drone camp
#1
Hello guys,

I got to opportunity to be a member of a drone camp where young people will learn to build and fly a drone in just one week.
Now i'm looking for a drone that is almost crash resisstant and easy to build. Because of the short time and big change that not every one can solder we would like to use (bullet) connectors to make it plug and play. I was thinking of the eachine wizzard this because of his 4 mm arm thickness and easy to change the arm if one got broken. But i would like to build in some custom parts and not use the complete wizzard and I am curious about your opinion.

The shopping list:
Wizzard frame
BR2206 2200KV motors
RS30A Lite BB2 ESC
Kingkong 5040 5x4x3 props
F3 EVO Cleanflight Flight Controller for Multirotor Racing w/ 4G MicroSD
Led motor mount
Motor protector
Landing skid
Matek Systems PDB-XT60 W/ BEC 5V & 12V
Flysky FS-i6X
X6B i-BUS Receiver

Hobbyking has a cheap PDB with bullet connectors already mounted (available in EU store for <5 euros).

You EVOs will need soldering and a fair bit of it.

I'd lean to a $99 based build but maybe on a 250mm ZMR style frame. More room for wiring, but common cheap hardware with boundless YouTube channels to learn from after the camp.

Thank you for the suggestion, but then i miss the 5v for the RX and maybe we want to put on one or two quads a FPV setup so they can also experience that and therefor i need 12V.

I will look at the ZMR frame, thanks for the suggestion. The drones stay at the camp they will not go home with the kids.

basically ZMR250 with sides and some plastic mounts(leds most likley) for motors...
1st ditch the "leg"
2nd i don't like the mount for fpv camera (personal preference - i like it connected to the frame, when jello shows you know something is wrong)
All the best

Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112
Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3,  Scrap
thinking about building: 450

What do you mean by the "leg"?
The fpv setup will not be used on the most drones, i think maybe 2 or 3 of them so i will not add to much value at that, it must be flyable but not perfect if you know what i mean.
