Do I Need Contracts?
#1
I'm planning to do my first FPV "job" this weekend. The reason I say "job" is because it's not paid but my first time flying with other people involved. I'm planning to fly and capture video from a local car drift event. Because it's not for commercial use, it can be considered a hobbyist flight.

I am confident in my flying skills but understand accidents can happen. What are people thoughts on if I should have drivers sign contracts or not? Should I have all drivers sign contracts saying I am not liable for any damage to their vehicles? I know that would be the smart thing to do but it may be hard to track down 50+ people on the day of the shoot. Considering this is a "hobbyist" flight, I don't know how seriously to take this.

My understanding is this event is pretty casual. The drivers don't have any rare mint condition cars, most of them are beat up from previous drift events. I would love anyone else's take on all this.

Just looking for other peoples suggestions as this is my first time flying for a bigger event.

Thanks!

I would reach out to Ahren Ciotti,(Ciottifpv) or other pilots (Nurk, Umagod, Rotor Riot)... they have been doing this for sometime and have done “jobs”..
The more u r informed the better..

I'm actually surprised you didn't get more responses.

Just my own 2 cents ... "good ol buds" stay that way until money comes into the picture. *ALWAYS* have something in writing. Even something rudimentary. I don't care if you guys survived 'nam together and lived through Fallujah ... when its dollars and cents, unfortunately to many, none of that matters.
