3 Can someone explain the main differences between these FC firmware/software?
I understand Baseflight is the origin of all these, but why there are so many different forks/versions?

1 14-Sep-2016, 05:52 PM (This post was last modified: 14-Sep-2016, 05:52 PM by SonicCopter.) CleanFlight - Stable code with the best and stable bits merged into it - slow quarterly updates (currently only support F1 and F3 FC)
BetaFlight - Experiemental, but cutting edge firmware, new revision/features almost weekly (Supports F1, F3 and F4 FC)
RaceFlight - Specialized more for racing and removing all the unnecessary stabilization and GPS out to increase looptimes to the extreme, also very frequency updates (Supports F4 FC)
iNav - for GPS goodies and RTH features... Mainly for Aerial filming and GPS assisted flights
BaseFlight - Dead... development stopped (F1)
