other then case is there a difference between hs1177 and a pz0420m?

Not much difference in performance between the PZ0420M and HS1177. Internally they are the same as far as using the same Sony super HAD image sensor and nexchip 2040 dsp. They might perform different on default settings, and both requires some tweaking to get to a ideal performance.

But Like stated, the HS1177 is smaller and comes with a case. If installed using the two holes in the side of the case, it allows for adjustable camera angle which is nice. However, I would recommend purchasing extra cases if the camera protrudes from the front of your frame.

As for the Runcam Swift, I think it's basically the PZ0420M or the Runcam Sky (same camera but with case, and larger than HS1177), just matches the size of the HS1177.

Do you have some good settings for the hs1177?

I have one, and keep changing the settings, as I cannot seem to get a good set up.

Try this: many people recommended this one however I have not used it myself...

I tried those settings on 3 HS1177 cameras.  It made one of them perfect, one was way too dark, the other way too light.  What I ended up doing was wiring in a plug for the adjuster thing so I could easily plug it in and adjust the camera in the field.
