Diatone is removing negative comments about they products from they website without any comment. It is "no-go". Diatone is dead for me. https://www.diatone.us/collections/roma-...-4s-6s-pnp
Well that is really bad news for customers and just ends up making all Diatone products look good to outsiders with only 4* or greater reviews being allowed to remain on their product page. iFlight did the same with me on Facebook and blocked me from posting any more comments on their page due to a single negative comments that I wrote, so now I can't post anything at all on their page whether it be good or bad. That is what you call a dictatorship.
B**g***d are also known to delete any product feedback comments that have less than 3 stars. The trick is to leave a high star rating but with negative comment text against it. Then they often don't spot it so it doesn't then get deleted. Unfortunately that also makes it harder for another potential customer to spot your negative comment in amongst all the others real 3* and greater reviews.
Sadly, I have to agree that the ratings process has by-and-large become a scam. Even centralized review systems (e.g., Yelp) are basically a pay-to-play scheme at best.
That said: The Diatone designs are really excellent. The Roma is one of the quietest frames (from a gyro noise perspective) I've ever seen, and is very durable. Their electronics -- when they work! -- are great value for money. But my own experience with their customer support was frustrating, so I now try to buy only from companies that stand behind their products, and provide direct feedback to companies that do not.

Diatone support wants me to do following things: "Please dont change our tune And reflash fc and reload our tuning". Will it really help? Is it possible to check if the ESC is defect or FC has a problem?
I don't know how to continue, maybe I simply have to avoid this brand in the future?

Hi all, I've ordered a Diatone Roma F5 V2 HD 6S and I'm aware its stock settings are known to be kinda weird.
I still don't have the drone in my hands BUT I would like to gather information to address its problems in advance. Although this is a discussion mainly about the first version of the Roma F5, I see that Hyperion (cool nick by the way — I love Dan Simmon's saga) gave some advice about the ESC settings for the V2.
Has anyone put together a complete set of good working BF settings (PID, filters, etc) for the V2?
Or do I have to embrace Rosser's method and spend some days tuning the drone (when the parcel reaches my home)?

Thanks (anyway;-) in advance!
I've had really great luck using BF 4.3 (RC3 is just out now) and using the built-in presets. The default gyro setup is incredible, and either of the 5" HD tunes are super solid. The quad flies just wonderfully.
I'm running the same on another quad that has major frame resonances and BF 4.3 just makes them go away. The improvements in the gyro processing is really dramatic.
If you're doing a custom tune, you should also check out Brian White's method of tuning which makes a ton of sense to me:

Thanks for the info. Are you using the ESC settings you mentioned earlier too?

I've updated to the 32.8.3 Testcode (https://github.com/bitdump/BLHeli/releases) and using mostly the same settings as before. I keep rampup at 30% because of the touchy Diatone, but I also leave timing at 23 degrees. So yes, basically the same settings, but I'm running 24k -> byRPM instead of 48k fixed. To be honest, the changes are really hard for me to detect, but the quad has been super solid which is 99% of my goal here.
P.S. Is there any reason NOT to use BLHeli32 32.8.1.2 and to use 32.8.3 testcode (which is a pre-release version) instead?
I used the BLHeliSuite and used the hex file you referenced. I’m following the dev forums and the .83 release seems much better. At a recent drone race last week, breakdown in the image below.

I have updated my Diatone Roma F5 V2 HD 6S to BF 4.3.
I have BLHeliSuite32xm 64 1.0.3.2 for Mac and I'm trying to find a way to load the MAMBA_F50_BL32_Multi_32_83.Hex file in order to flash the drone's ESCs to BLHeli32 32.8.3 testcode... BUT the Mac version of the BLHeli Suite doesn't feature a BLHeli32_HexFiles folder like the Windows version where to put the hex file into.
How do Mac users perform this operation?
Do I really have to use the Windows version of BLHeliSuite32xm or there is a way in the Mac version?
P.S. The Mac BLHeliSuite32xm application does have resource folders but they are inside the application package, which usually you don't tamper with (see attached images).
In the meantime, I figured out how to load (and flash) that MAMBA_F50_BL32_Multi_32_83.Hex file in the BLHeliSuite32xm Mac application.
You have to click on the "Flash BLHeli" button in the ESC 1 window (see attached images), then click on the "Ignore" button and load the MAMBA_F50_BL32_Multi_32_83.Hex file, finally clicking on the "Yes" button when asked to flash ESC 1. Afterwards, the application will ask if you want to continue with ESC 2 etc. (you'll have to load the MAMBA_F50_BL32_Multi_32_83.Hex file for every ESC).

By the way, did you activate bi-directional DShot? (I did)
