Diatone ET 150 Build
#1
ok so I'm finally coming around to build a little 3" racer. for this build I will be going with,
Diatone ET 150 frame (it was a gift, so it'll be rude of me not to use it Smile )
EMAX RS1306-4000KV Red Bottoms
DYS XM20A ESCs
FrSky XSR reciever
Foxeer XAT520 FPV camera (which really is a HS1188 CMOS cam)
Piko BLX flight controller
Innova VTX - which was designed to be stacked on top of the Piko (it's not shown in the pic because I'm still waiting for it to arrive)

Hey Jimmy If I knew you where going to order the Innova I would have told you to get some antennas for it too. You should be able to add it to your order still cause I think the VTX won't ship till mid-ish October. Get a pigtail too so when they break at least you can use standard SMA.

I was planning on just using a pigtail sma to make it easier to swap out antennas.

I have a question Jimmy why are you using xat529?
You could potentially use bg600tvl camera, it's great
Also innova board requires a connector, jst maybe
What the connector is?

Also is there any goal yo keep your quad under a certain weight

I think that would be selfish. This way I'm "sharing knowledge and ideas" with everyoneWink

It uses a U.FL just like the ones on an RX like a X4R or D4R. There are two JSTs on the Innova. One goes to your camera and the other is a passthrough for the IR LED pin on the Piko. I hope that (and this is entirely speculation) that it'll eventually add IR programing to the Innova like the Ubad VTX. For now the only way to change channels is through the OSD.

I'm using the xat529 because of its size, it is a micro camera with a protective housing. I plan to solder everything directly and eliminating most of the connectors. my goal is to try to keep everything under 175 grams if possible.

This should be a very lite build. Do you have any more updates?

Wow, 217 grams. Awesome! Describe your experience with this little bird when you have an opportunity to fly Smile
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car
