My hair is out of control and lockdown desperation has kicked in. I had to bite the bullet and order these which arrived today  I guess it's time to find out how badly I can jack up my hair as the guy in the videos below keeps on reminding us I already made mistake #1 in the second video, so I guess it's all downhill from here on LOL.

Well now you have to film it and show us how it is done

Yea I've been cutting my own hair since I was in high school lol. I remember everyone telling me it looked so bad. So the next time I cut it, I told everyone I paid $60 for the haircut and they said it looked so much better. Since then, I've just cut my own hair. I'll get it done at a salon if I have a job interview or something.

Don't go lower than #3. Or even #4. From there you can fine tune. You should have slanted adapters too those are great not just for the sides but for fading the back so you can go little by little (you'll see what I mean). If you have long hair on top that needs to be put out of the way and your set doesn't come with hair clips, binder clips work too lol.

But most importantly, you need a second mirror! No way you can do the back properly if you don't use that second mirror lol.

lol a great little social experiment you conducted there! LoL.... it's kinda sickening but luckily I've known about this kind of tendency in people for decades so I've been sick about it for so long it's normal to me now 

I think this is one of the reasons I don't get a long with many people TBH. Because if you came up to me in a group and said that... and the group said... "Yeah looks much better", I'd have undoubtedly said "It looks the same to me" and then I'd be considered an outcast and a fool... and ironically/funny enough though, I'd be the only one that was fricken right.... happens to me ALL THE TIME! ;>

I once made one of my wifes friends run away in tears when she was having a bad day and she asked "do you like my hair?" and I (stupidly) replied "looks the same to me".

Didn't know she was having a bad day lol. On the flip side that girl was emotional and I accidently made her cry like 5 times in their friendship. I must be a bad person lol.

I remember cutting my own hair in college. Got really good at it. Probably time to dust off that rusty skill again. Mine is starting to look bushy. I used to cut hair for all my friends. Never did get a dime for it.

I'm growing my hair and beard out. The aim is a Jesus look, I hope my boss doesnt get mad lol.

My hair is at that awkward length where its too long to style like short hair properly, but too short to do anything else with

I watched the hair dresser do my hair a million times. It's easy peasy   

I always just get a grade 2 on the back and sides, and a grade 7 on the top, so no messing around with scissor cutting. I think the hardest part will be trying to blend the two different lengths where they meet. maybe I'll give the clippers to my young daughter and let her have a go 

Now I just need to muster up the courage to get on with the job before it grows even longer

I stopped shaving when lockdown started 4 weeks ago and grew a beard for the first time ever in my life. But I didn't have any beard trimmers so that just started going bushy and out of control just like my hair, and it made me look like a really old man  Yesterday I finally got rid of it which was a PITA with a standard Gillette razor. If I ever do that again I will use trimmers to at least try to maintain it at a sensible length

Ok guys I been watching people on TV after they done their own hair cut and they are violating the biggest newbiew mistake ... they went up too far when cutting the sides of their head.  Look at Chris Cuomo love the guy but he looks like Peewee Herman now.  Even Don Lemos is laughing at him.



The problem?  He got too aggressive with his line.  Imagine a line circling the upper 1/3rd of your head maybe about 2-3 inches  from the top of your ears.  THAT is the 38th parallel.  You NEVER cross the 38th parallel lol.  



See, when people start shaving down the sides of their head, they mess up and cross the 38th parallel.  To fix it, they move the entire line up past the 38th parallel.  They mess up again, then move that entire line up again.  In the end, you end up looking like Peewee Herman.  Think of that stray cut past the 38th parallel as a casualty of war.  You must leave him there alone.  

And speaking of casualties of at-home haircut war ...



If you got light hair like Cooper ... sorry no fix for this.  But at least it is harder to see.  If you got black or close to black hair, you are screwed! ... or not??  The fix ...

Why is it called 38th parrallel?

I finally got to color my hair as normally it's not allowed. 

Sadly it is getting a little long but i don't mind it.

I've started to wake up every morning looking like Doc Brown from Back to the Future. I'm going to have to go up in the loft and see if I can find the clippers.

The main problem is whenever I shave it down I end up looking like a neo-Nazi.
