I received a new Demon Core V2.3 test unit from DemonRC today. Since people were asking about changes when compared to previous versions:
Before I begin - I don't have Core V2.2, my assumptions are taken from what's visible on a few photos I've seen. I still fly V2.1 prototype though and was talking with manufacturer about ongoing changes in the project before V2.2 was released.
- uses 3 additional capacitors
- smaller inductor coil - that was the tallest component on previous version - PDB is slimmer now
- rectifier diode (polarity protection for FPV components? I think that was added on V2.2)
- we can use metal bolts without fear of shorts as there is no copper around mounting holes (not even under black laminate)
- the board has rounded corners now. Not that it matters when You fly
- no dedicated 5V pads for FC (new FCs come with their own regulators). You can still tap into 5V on OSD pin for example.
It weighs 7-8 grams (sorry, my scale is inaccurate )
Board quality looks very good. As always from DemonRC.
Update 19 May 2016:
I managed to mount the Core and fly 4 packs on it. I took the heaviest blade I have, DAL 5045x3 and later 5040x3 (because that prop better suits this build IMO).
Trough all flights I had no blackouts, no micro minimOSD resets, picture was clear as day. DemonRC did a very good job!
Some clips from the DVR:
Update 20 May 2016:
I was talking with manufacturer about the board. Another (final?) product should be even better because they found some more capable components - inductor coil with more capacity and they will use 3oz copper. I asked him "why". The answer is "because we can do better". That should be the company motto
Spoiler alert:
DemonRC has some plans to develop other components as well:

DemonRC has some plans to develop other components as well:
- separate dual BEC (2 x 2,5A, 2-6s rated) to power everything, HD camera included
- F4 flight controller on "best STM and gyro", SPI bus, 4-layer copper to shield noise, gyro placed in/as close as possible to COT
- ESCs with hardware PWM
Find me on Youtube and Instagram. I currently fly: DRC Aura, NOX5R, Minimalist 112 and drive a scrap RC car
