Daisy Chaining the Dock-King
#1
I have come across multiple reviews referencing daisy chaining the Furious Dock-King.  Does anybody know how to do this?

FuriousFPV originally put that network cable port on the side of the Dock-King to allow them to be chained together "sometime in the future" but I don't think the feature ever got implemented. The easiest way to find out will be to ping them an message and ask using the following link...

If you get a definitive answer, can you please also post their response back here so others who are also trying to find out will know what the score is. Thanks.

The response I got back from FuriousFPV needs a little interpretation but it sounds like they do not plan to implement the daisy chain feature.

Thanks for coming back to let us know. It also looks like the last Dock-King firmware update was over a year ago, so it seems they're not really investing any more time enhancing the features of the product, which is a shame.

That is a shame, I have a second DK too, that I bought off a guy because he was selling it with a Tru-D X, which is what I actually needed. they discontinued their DVR module too, and I have scoured the internet and can't find an explanation why they did that, or why it appears they basically abandoned the entire DK project and barely support what is already out there.

I was thinking of trying the daisy chain anyway, the ethernet connection must hook to something internally, you can get a 200ft Cat 6a ethernet cable for $22 on ebay.  Granted it's probably not the best ever made, but It won't be used to carry large packets of data like it would if hooked to a home or business network.  Only thing that makes me think it wouldn't work for sure, is that Cat 6a is rated for 200MHz, I think Cat 7 is only 250Mhz, after they come into a building and into the modem, it is the router that gets it from the modem and converts it the 5.8GHz frequency for wifi.  So I am wondering, if they would have continued support, if that would have been software update and/or a certain module similar to a mini router that would convert the frequency.  If I try it, I will re-post with results.

The reason you will likely be wasting your time getting an Ethernet cable to chain your two Dock-Kings together is because the firmware in the Dock-King needs to be written to handle the signals from both Dock-Kings and then do something with those signals (i.e. combine them or use the best one etc.), but the firmware is void of any such functionality for doing that, which just makes the RJ-45 socket on the side of the DK an useless ornament.

Yeah, that's what I am afraid of too.  I guess the software more than anything has to be able to communicate, like regular diversity, software determines which signal for which antenna etc...daisy chain you all of a sudden giving 4 antennas no protocols.
