i took the arms and 2 bottom braces from a qav-r and assembled them together to make a stretched x frame. i'm planning on using a hyperlite middle plate cause it has a vtx antenna mount, along with the hyperlite camera mount and top plate. i'm going to shorten the stand offs from 35mm to about 20mm to shorten the tower.

Nice! That'll be cool once it's finished!

I did something similar myself recently with banggood QAV-R clone arms, my own handmade baseplate and a 3D printed pod I designed myself.

im only worried a bit about the hole that is very close to the arm edge... that during the crash it might rip part of that plate up.
