Custom Build Cinewhoop or Tyro79 transfer to cineframe?
#1
Just wanted to get your thoughts....

I have a whole part list for my 3" cinewhoop, which was going to be a 3" acrobatic build. After rethinking how this drone would fit, I felt itd make more sense to fly acro on my TBS oblivion, to build a 3" cinewhoop, and to build a 6/7" long range frame. I'm trying to get a useable build that I can keep for a bit as I continue to want more and more drones for various purposes.

Do you feel the tyro79 transfered to a reptile cloud frame is a great budget option with a few upgrades given the slow and cinematic nature of cinewhoops?
(total would be about $150USD)

Eachine 1607 2800KV 2-4S Brushless
Diatone F4 Flight Controller /  4 IN 1 20A BLHeli_S ESC Stack
Eachine 5.8G 40CH 25/100/200/300mw switchable VTX
Caddx Baby Ratel
VAS Ion Pro

or Alternatively I could purchase the below items for the Cinewhoop build (about $200 USD)

Diatone Mamba F405 Mk2 F40 Mk2 3-6S
RDQ Mach 3 Video Transmitter 25-1000mW VTX 2-6S
BrotherHobby Tornado T1 1407 3600Kv
Reptile Cloud 149HD 3" Cinewhoop Frame Kit
FrSky R9MM
Caddx Baby Ratel
VAS Ion Pro

the tyro79 as a cinewhoop is a great choice. there are „duct designs“ on thingiverse for the tyro79, you could get 3d printed parts to change it into a whoop without an additional frame, if you like to save money.

the second list are nice products, compared price 150/200, i would spend 50 bucks more if possible. i guess more pleasure while use and longer liftime.
the mamba stack is huge and a bit overrated for your build, i would go for a 20x20mm option like the mamba mini. a solid 20amp esc is enough for the tornados.
the listed stack would be nice for 5“ up to 7“ in my eyes ;-) as it isnt specially heavy it would work aswell.

i beleive both options will give a lot pleasure

"the mamba stack is huge and a bit overrated for your build"

1.) Thanks for the response --- When you say the stack is huge and overrated - at $40/ I felt it was a good option that could maybe transition into other builds. Do you think something like this would be a better option?

2.) yeah I'm thinking for non professional and even the occasional professional useage that the tyro cinewhoop should be everything I need in reality. (hmmmmmmmmmmm)

yes i would choose exactly this as an inexpensive nice option.
the transition option of the 40a stackis truly nice, even up to 7“. i focus what would be the best choice for the particular build, i would choose the 20x20 because of that. i use the mamba mini stack on a ul 5“ and on a 3“, my 3inch will turn into a 4inch soon. still a lot of transition or build options with the small stack in my case.

I don't know if you ever built your Tyro79 cinewoop, but here is how my robotics team built ours. https://rotorbuilds.com/build/26439
