I have some questions for yall I don't know if yall will know but just asking. I am looking at the crux 35 HD for a beginner freestyle drone. I have the avata at the moment and wanted to expand. It is running a caddax nebula nano vista and wanted to know since it is using a vista can I use a DJI controller with it? If I wasn't going with the DJI controller route can I bind a beta fpv lite radio 2 se with a spi d8/d16 receiver?

yes but I am sure that it probably wouldn't work with a custom drone not from DJI

I thought the Crux35 HD was an ELRS quad. So i checked. it can be.

Integrated ExpressLRS SPI receiver or Frsky SPI D8/D16 receiver

Do you have the D8/D16 model or the ELRS model? If D8 then yes, if not you would need the ELRS version of the Literadio

I don't have it at the moment only speculating it as a beginner quad to learn freestyle and to grow my collection. I might get the frsky version for simplicity and might get the elrs model so it is future-proof.
