101 14-Dec-2019, 09:37 PM (This post was last modified: 14-Dec-2019, 09:38 PM by the.ronin.) I forgot about this thread. Man if any of you are rocking the R9 right now and even sorta thinking about going Crossfire ... do it. Like right now. Everything everyone says is pretty much spot on.
* Never had issues with reception or sudden failsafes - while it wasn't a normal occurrene I do recall once or twice, I failsafed out of nowhere for no apparent reason with R9.
* Easy to setup - oh my gosh I don't even have to push the button on new receivers just bind it from the radio and it's all set. Aside from OTA binding, everything is just so very well thought out. Clearly the people that made this flew it and had their expensive rigs on the line using it. That is very clear.
One thing people don't mention is the build quality of the antennas. The Immortal T antenna is noticeably more robust than the far flimsier R9 T dipoles. While I haven't used the Diamond yet on the radio, the T antenna for the radio is also very beefed up. In comparison, it didn't take long for me to break a Super 8 antenna at the stem.
I really wish I had gone straight to Crossfire.
