controlling descent rate
#1
Hi, I am a newbie here,
We will participate in a domestic satellite competition. The flight controller will not be connected to the remote controller and GPS; it will only be connected to Teensy3.6 via Sbus.
Satellite like quadcopter will be released at 500 meters altitude. Descent to 200 meters altitude with a constant speed of 10m/s, stabilize the altitude at 200 meters for a few seconds, and start to descend again at a rate of 10m/s, slowing down in the last few meters. changing in Latitude or longitude is not important.
I think I cannot use the mission controller in this situation. Can I use the program tab to change the descend speed or flight mod like descend to altitude hold then descend again? How can I do that with INAV 3.0.1?  Is there an example or source?
Thank you for your answers

No GPS or Controller? I assume you have only a barometer on board?

How will the drone know when to arm? Will the Teensy board do that?

iNav mission planning without a GPS and relying on barometer data alone is not something that will work. (I think).

Perhaps you can ask Pawel Spychaski in his live streams for feasibility of such a mission.
