Just heard Connex is releasing a new FPV system we have been waiting a long time for: HD (high definition), low latency (they claim "zero latency" but i think that's just marketing), and allow more people to fly at the same time.
Traditional 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz we have been using for FPV have been great because of the cheap price and small size, however they suffer from limitation on the number of pilots that can fly at the same time, too many VTX powered on the same time can cause video interference. Latency is low but definitely should be improved. Another thing is the video quality is not really that good compared to the recording cameras we normally use.
The new Connex HD FPV system provides pretty decent video quality for real time FPV, I would say comparable to the Mobius footage. It will also allow many more pilots to fly at the same time. Price is not confirmed yet.
Release date is 10th May 2016.
