Connecting Flysky Fs-T6 to Mac
#1
Hi there,

I'm trying to connect my Connecting Flysky Fs-T6 to a mac computer to use with a simulator (Velocidrone) but it's not recognised. I'm using an "All in one simulator" cable with the following options: 1. PhoenixRC, 2. AeroFly, 3. G4/G5/G6, 4. XTR/FMS, 5. VRC.

Some sites mention the need to install some "SB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers - Silicon Labs", which I have done as well to no avail.

I'm wondering if anybody has encountered the same problem?

Thanks!

I have used what I think is the same cable to get the DJI FPV radio to work on my mac. I didn't have to install anything. It just worked in Liftoff and the Curry Kitten FPV Simulator. All I had to do was calibrate it in the sim.

Another option would be to use a receiver wired to a flight controller connected via USB to your computer and sim that way.

Like listening to 80s and 90s music?  Perhaps you will like my FPV Channel.

Sadly, I've been unable to get either Windows or Mac to recognise the transmitter. That work around with the flight controller sounds promising, thanks a lot! I will give it a try.

So I've managed to connect the transmitter to my Mac using Betaflight. I plug my flight controller (Crazybee F4 FS) into the computer, open up Betaflight and can see transmitter input in real time. I then open Velocidrone and I can see the flight controller in the “Controllers” menu. It doesn’t seem to detect movement though. I have also tried closing the Betaflight serial connection just in case it was interfering with this to no avail.

This seems so close to work : )

This is really annoying, I have the Fatshark radio and it wouldn’t connect to my Mac either. I also tried it with the video from YouTube Utilising my FC and had similar issue to you!
Fat shark said their software is Windows based. So I have to use the missus’ laptop now and only freerider will work with her spec unfortunately (although I actually really like it)!

Hoping my new radio for my 5” quad project works with Mac software when I come to buy it.
Best of luck though pal, hope you get sorted!

Thanks Liam!

In the end I did't manage to get it to work, but I'm using a Taranis QX7 now and it works like a charm out of the box.
