Configuring MWOSD with Beta/CleanFlight
#1
I'd guess that everyone but me knew this, but just in case...

Thanks to Chris Ames FPV!  I can confirm that it also works with BetaFlight configurator (and on a Mac).

I didn't know! Smile good to know we can do this via FC and it's truly handy!

I saw another video (with less detail) by Joshua Bardwell after this.  He says you can even flash minimOSD with Arduino through the FC.  (I haven't tried this yet so I'm not sure what target you would pick for Arduino.  I may give it a go later today.)

Not sure, but I think Joshua is wrong on this one.  I tried several boards and programmers in Arduino, and couldn't get anything to work (I don't see how it could without some built in support for this).  I did manage to blow away communications on the mmosd, so now I'll have to pull it out and reflash the old-fashioned way  Dodgy

At least I only have to pull out the USB Asp programmer one more time Big Grin

Looks like this may be possible by generating a .hex file with Arduino and then "Update" through the MWOSD Gui (browse to hex file).  Don't have time to do this right now, but I'll see if there truly is a new "Update" button in the GUI and (if so) give it a shot later today.  I'll report back if no one else does it first.

Guess not.  There was a discussion over at MWOSD back in March about adding an "Update" button to the GUI to allow this.  It's not there (at least in the stable version).  Guess it's time to disassemble the quad, pull out the programmer, and reflash my micro minimosd.  Hope I didn't break anything  Tongue
