Hello, I have an Armattan Tadpole HD and I unfortunately crashed it up in a tree a week back. The CL Racing Mini FC is now blinking between green and red but I can't seem to find a user manual that describes what the LEDs mean. I know a solid green means everything is working but not sure what the rapid blinking means. Thanks in advance.

PS Does anyone know of a good resource to read/watch that can help me troubleshoot my drone? I have another drone that isn't working anymore but not sure how to go about finding what is broken. All of my drones have BNF.

The two LEDs on the FC are controlled by the firmware (usually Betaflight or INAV). They are used to indicate various statuses of the firmware but I don't know of a single resource that documents all of the meanings.

There are a ton of resources out there on the web and YouTube to help with troubleshooting but to find what might be relevant you need some kind of starting point.

I guess the first question is, are you able to connect Betaflight Configurator to the FC?

It does connect to Betaflight. When I connect I see a solid red light and a blinking green light right next to it. My Crossfire Nano RX and Caddax Vista are both working and my controller shows that it is receiving a signal. However, on Betaflight, I don't see any input from my controller. I can't confirm that the Nano RX is working since there are no inputs but I was able to rebind the RX to my controller and it shows a solid green light, as it should.

When I plug in the battery, the FC has now been staying at solid red and starts beeping after a couple seconds.

When you connect to Betaflight, do you see any warnings?

Try running the status command in the cli and pasting it here.

No warning when I connect. At least none that pop out to me or that I have found in the various tabs. Below is what came out when I put "status" into CLI. I also included a youtube link with a video with what I am seeing when I plug a battery in. Thank you very much for helping me troubleshoot this.

Your Crossfire Nano RX is not showing a steady green led but rather short red led and then green. This maybe a firmware issue, and you can try and run the Crossfire emergency update for the receiver, then rebind it.

Do you see ant Crossfire telemetry on the radio?

The Crossfire was red because I didn't have my controller on. I did have to rebind the controller after the crash and it shows a solid green when the controller is on. The controller is showing a connection with the drone as well but I don't see any input when I connect everything to Betaflight. I think I have a short somewhere which is causing these issues. Just need to figure out where it went wrong. Still not even clear why the drone crashed since it just started spinning crazy from the sky and landed in a tree. I could still see thru the camera while the drone was in the tree but I couldn't control the drone with the remote. Once I got it down from the tree, it was super hot and a couple bent props. I replaced the props and plugged in a new battery, but then there was a pop, some smoke, and then I started to see all the blinking colors.

Pop and a smoke will mean you need to start inspecting components for damage and possibly start thinking about replacements. Probably the FC is already damaged.

Can you try and solder the Crossfire RX to another URAT to test if that works?

I agree. I've never built my own drone so I've just been watching Youtube videos to try and figure out the best way to troubleshoot the components in a methodical way. Had to order some tools since I have a soldering iron but not the right stuff to de-solder electronics.

Most important tool you need is a multimeter and possibly a hot air station to troubleshoot and replace components on a FC.
