All the boards are the same regarding pid tuning. you don't need to use the osd if you don't want to, just disable it in the betaflight gui.

If you want to use blackbox, it is much faster to use a FC with built in SD card reader. The fcs with flash memory are super slow to grab the log from.

You can also use a pdb with current sensor and connect it to the current pad on the FC.

Don't overthink this, all of the fcs are kind of the same, it's just small details that differ
