1 I've honestly gone through so many T-Motors and have a set of "hyperlite" aka zmx 2206-2300 and they are by far the most powerful motors I've flown. Compared to my other quad which has luminier 2206-2350 and the ZMX have way more power. Both are smooth but you can feel the difference in magnets with your hands just spinning the zmx. They are tough too!

3 From what I saw on MQTB, the Fusions are excellent performers. However, the bearing tension may not come well set out of the box and you will have to adjust that (and it is a pretty fiddly job). They also have a huge number of preorders to fulfil so it may be a while before you can get them (BoltRC has a sweet looking orange Fusion though). Again, from what I saw on MQTB, the wider stator of the F40 II pushes up the amp draw quite a bit and they perform pretty well but not great. There is also a risk of overloading and killing it on bigger props.

3 Have you thought about the tornado T2 from brotherhobby? The thrust test from mini quad test bench had the fusions at 1308g and the T2 at 1300 on hq 5x4x3. Check out the FLYRCNOW fb page for a discount code!! Might be worth checking out. Zmx has an adjustable bearing tension screw at the bottom that some say aren't adjusted right from the factory and they are stripping them out trying to adjust them. I'm assuming using the right tool would solve that issue? I can't vouch for it, but I assume that's a rare event, or at least I hope so.

30 17-Nov-2016, 12:36 PM (This post was last modified: 17-Nov-2016, 12:37 PM by fftunes.) What props are you going to run? Regarding weight and load...
F40 don't have as much torque.
