"cheapo" 3d printer - what is worth the money?
#16
Here is part 2, where Thomas cuts the frame and gathers all the motion parts.

(He mentions that part 3 will be a live stream of assembling all the parts.  You can subscribe to get a notification to watch it live, but he also says he will edit the stream after the fact to provide a "highlights" video.)

Kind of :p but seriously. You know how many times did I hear "why didn't you buy this yet?". Sometimes my woman has less common sense than I do Wink

Grisha has convinced me not to buy more stuff than she did (with "ok, but why?" attitude)

The live stream of Thomas'  iPrusa MK2 Clone build (part 1) took place yesterday.  If you missed it, here is the whole thing (2 hours 40 minutes):

The actual build starts around 9 minutes in (some good info before though).  Thomas said earlier that he would eventually post an edited "highlights" video, but I don't know when that will be.  (I'll provide a link in this thread when that happens.)

What do you guys think of the Monoprice Mini? At $200 and such great reviews it almost sounds too good to be true.

The full recorded live stream of Part 2 of the assembly is here:

Once again, this is another long one (2 hours 27 minutes), and Thomas has promised an edited "highlights" version for later.
Cheers

I am very tempted to order all the parts from aliexpress and build one myself

If you do, I'd make one substitution that I think makes a world of difference.  I would get the real E3D V6 hot end (at least the metal parts).  It's a bit more expensive, but I think worth it. http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6.
