Cheap VTx w/mic
#1
Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting a VTX with mic built in. Any recommendations on something decent that could be ordered from some place like banggood?

Other requirements are the basics: 200mw, raceband, prefer buttons over switches but am flexible, compact preferred. Better if it can power from lipo but I have alt options.

Any body have any favorites or suggestions?

I use the Lumenier TX5G2R. It's quite small and meets all your requirements

Does that one have a mic built in?

If it does then other than price its a pretty good one

Here's a nice stackable one for $28 (replaceable antenna, mic, 80 channels 25/200/600):

I don't have one yet, but will soon...

Looks good, and I might use it on future builds but no stackable for me on this build. Flight stack is already as high as I wanna go.

Also 80 channels? Now it's just starting to get silly.

Yes it's got a mic.  It's not cheap, but the quality's good.

A friend just got the TX801 from banggood its switchable (up to 600mW), dirt cheap and has an on-board mic (haven't tested audio). He is using the $5 DYS mushroom antenna and so far it's been very good for the price.

The TX801 works pretty well but I haven't tested the sound quality either. I know that the sound quality was quite bad on the Eachine TX526.

It looks like this one has a microphone:

Got it! I see the mics on them now. that alone will be a big help.

Thanks for your help so far guys!

I hadn't noticed that the SP2/SP3 had mics on them. I'll need to test that out with the pirate or GT2. I really like the SP3 after putting it in the ghost pirat and I've been thinking about using it in future builds but it's a stackable as well and I don't have room to make the stack any bigger.

So far the eachine TX801 is looking like a good option. I don't need good sound quality to be honest... As long as it's not clipping then I am OK with it. Unless someone has any warnings against it or a better option it'll probably be what I order.

I have had several Eachine transmitters and only had one of the old 200mW failing on me. The TX526 I have has been drowned in water and is still going strong.

The first Eachine VTx (a ET200R) was DOA but products are defective sometimes so I am not too worried about it. Amazon gave me my money back.

In comparison I've had 2 foxeers that have died on me... one being because of physical damage the other having just plain burnt out at high power due to poor placement on the quad. So 1 vs 2... so far Eachine has the better score lol... kinda.
