cheap antenna tubes
#1
While on hols earlier this year one of the young team brought along some of these

After the kids had a lot of fun and some rollickings from the elders,, I thought the tubes would come in useful Smile they are perfect for antenna tubes, easily cut with scissors or a sharp knife, just big enough to accept an antenna wire

I was at a local fast food spot about a month ago and while getting the little salt and pepper packets, sporks, etc. I noticed a bin full of coffee stir sticks. I thought, geez, those look about the same size as my antenna tubes! too bad they are white with a fine red stripe on them,,, beggers cant be choosey, lol! I grabbed a handful of them and gave it try,,,, perfect fit!!! just had to snip off a little length.

I'm all about getting it free!!!

My kiddo brought me some straws from a fast food restaurant that I have been using. They are cheap and plentiful while doing a wonderful job of protecting. Also adds a touch of class, the red and yellow stripes!

I use a zip tie and shrink tubing, much easier to mount

I saw a build video with zip tie/shrink tube was used on a Lizard and that seems a really easy way to secure them. Might try that when I replace the current straw...
